As many of you may know, CoolSculpting is a noninvasive treatment that attacks fat cells by freezing them. The fat cells are destroyed and then metabolized out of your body through your body’s natural process. There is no downtime and side affects are minimal.
Until recently, CoolSculpting has only been able to be used on-label for the abdomen, love handles, and outer thighs. Zeltiq, CoolSculpting’s manufacturer, is preparing to introduce the FDA Approved Cool-Mini applicator, which will allow a patient to receive treatment for smaller areas such as the chin, knees, and armpit area.

This can help us who have a little extra in our bra/armpit area, around our knees, or that double chin that just will not go away. Most patients will need to treat the areas 1-2 times; with studies showing that a patient will begin to see results within the first 3 weeks, reaching their maximum results by 1-3 months.

Dr. Kavali expects to have the Cool-Mini in the office by early to mid-November; stay tuned for updates on exact dates. Book your consult today to speak with us about your treatment plan!
