  • What Are Some of the Peels You Offer?

What Are Some of the Peels You Offer?

Our Complete Renewal Peel is a light revitalizing peel to brighten skin and restore a healthier and more youthful appearance. It’s a milder concentration without the recovery time associated with more intense peels. Our special formulation brightens and smooths skin texture with each session.

The Complete Renewal Peel is great for all skin types and it includes a blend of alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, resorcinol, and retinoic acid.

Results are predictable and noticeable after just one peel. Dramatic results are seen after a series of peels

Our TCA peel is a deeper peel that is well-worth the short recovery time. It is also good for all skin types, and is particularly effective on darker skin. It goes deeper to reduce sun damage, mild acne scarring and fine lines. This peel promises fresher and younger-looking skin. We offer TCA peels in multiple strengths, so they can be specifically customized for your skin.

The SkinMedica Vitalize Peel and the SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peel offer a combination of  Alcohol, Salicyclic Acid, Resorcinol, and Lactic Acid to give great results with little or no downtime.

We also proudly offer the Vi Peel, which is a deeper peel safe for all skin types.  It combines TCA, phenol, RetinA, Salicylic Acid, and Vitamin C for powerful treatment of skin tone and texture, age spots and wrinkles, and acne.

The Melanage Peel (really a Skin Lightening System) is a great option for ALL skin types with pigmentation problems: melasma, sun damage, freckles, pregnancy mask, age spots, uneven skin tone.  Don’t let the “Skin Lightening” part of this treatment scare you, if you have darker skin.  The peel won’t make your “good” skin look lighter; it just makes the darker areas match the “good “skin!   Treatment starts in the office with a Melanage Masque.  You go home with the masque still on your skin.  After a specific amount of time, you’ll wash it off, then use a specific regimen of skin care products made to compliment the peel.  It is important to follow the regimen exactly, for best results.  The products are included in the cost of the peel, so there are no hidden charges.

  • What Can I Expect During My Peel Treatment?

What Can I Expect During My Peel Treatment?

After the right peel is chosen for your skin, your skin will be cleansed and toned. The peel solution is applied using a sponge or cotton pad to the areas to be treated (generally the entire face, avoiding the eyes, brows and lips). You will feel a stinging sensation for 2-3 minutes. A finishing ointment and sunblock will be applied to your skin, then you’ll be ready to go.

  • What Kind of Recovery Can I Expect?

What Kind of Recovery Can I Expect?

You will be given careful instructions to follow after your peel. You can expect to begin peeling about two days after your peel is done. Because of this, many people prefer to have peels done on Thursdays. Your peeling will last 2-4 days, depending on which peel was used. You will be able to apply makeup after the peeling is done. Your skin will be more sensitive after the peel, and we’ll give you instructions regarding when you can resume your regular skincare regimen.

Sun block is absolutely essential, as the newly peeled skin is thin and more prone to sun damage. You will be able to apply sunblock after a few days. Before then, you’ll just need to avoid the sun as much as possible.
