Botox®

We are proud to be named by Allergan as one of the Top 500 practices nationwide for volume of Botox and fillers. (That's out of nearly 30,000 Botox providers!) Dr. Kavali has been using Botox since it first became available for cosmetic use back in 2002. If you're looking for experience, we've got it.

Botox® can be your little secret weapon against lines caused by muscle movement.

You will begin the consultation process by meeting with one of our Physician Assistants or with Dr. Kavali. We will help to establish your goals for your procedures and will typically take your "before" photos to accurately track your transformation.

The consultation time is meant to be comfortable and educational. We want you to feel completely informed, so you can make your own personal best decision.

  • Why Choose Kavali Plastic Surgery and Skin Renewal Center for Your Atlanta GA Botox?

Why Choose Kavali Plastic Surgery and Skin Renewal Center for Your Atlanta GA Botox?

Dr. Kavali is a National Trainer for Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox, and her practice is ranked in the Top 500 Nationwide by Allergan for the volume of Botox and fillers that she uses each year.  It's pretty impressive to be listed in the Top 500 Nationwide, especially since Dr. Kavali is a solo practitioner, and the rankings include large group practices as well.

We're proud of our experience and our expertise.  And we'll always be honest with you about what you can expect.

  • Is Botox Atlanta GA Right for Me?

Is Botox Atlanta GA Right for Me?

Botox® had been available as a therapeutic agent since the late 1960s to treat neurological disorders. Today, we use Botox to treat wrinkles in the face and neck. Botox can be used to smooth lines in the forehead, between the eyebrows (“glabella”), around the eyes (“crows’ feet”), around the nose (“bunny lines” and nostril flaring), around the lips (“smoker’s lines”), and in the neck. In fact, Botox can be used for many lines that are caused by muscle movement. Botox can also be used to shape the eyebrows: a “Botox Browlift”.

  • What Can I Expect During My Botox Consultation?

What Can I Expect During My Botox Consultation?

We will discuss with you which lines you’d like to see improved, then we will let you know if Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin® (or some other treatment) is appropriate for you. The quick procedure can be done on the same day as your initial consultation. Dr. Kavali or one of her Physician Assistants will perform your Botox or Dysport or Xeomin treatment. Our Physician Assistants both have a wealth of experience with these products—they even do Dr. Kavali’s own Botox and Dysport and Xeomin treatments! You will know prior to your appointment which provider will be available for your treatment.

  • How Does Botox Work?

    How Does Botox Work?

Botox treats lines caused by muscle movement.  Our muscles move when our nerves tell them to move.  Botox works by interfering with that nerve-muscle communication (technically speaking, Botox inhibits acetylcholine release).

It's important to note that Botox treats lines, not hollows.  That's because of HOW Botox works. It can treat lines caused by muscle movement.

  • What Are The Benefits of Botox?

What Are The Benefits of Botox?

Botox® treatments have no downtime; you can immediately resume your normal activities. Within about a week, you will notice that the treated areas have less movement. The lines in the skin may take up to one month to completely relax. We like to have you come back 2 weeks after your first treatment, so we can fine-tune any areas that may need more units of Botox for full effect.

  • What Can I Treat with Botox Atlanta GA?

What Can I Treat with Botox Atlanta GA?

Botox is a versatile prescription product.  It is FDA-approved for a few cosmetic uses.  We also use it for many "off-label' purposes in the appropriate person for the appropriate reasons.  We will let you know if your treatment is "off-label" before it's done.  Here are the areas we typically treat with Botox:

These are the FDA-approved uses for Botox in our practice:

-Forehead lines, the horizontal ones across your forehead.

-Glabellar lines, the "11s" between your brows.

-Crows' feet, those smile lines around your eyes

    -Axillary hyperhidrosis, excessive armpit sweating

These are some of the "off-label" areas we treat with Botox, when appropriate:

-Brow lift: We use Botox to help shape the eyebrows and lift them

-DAOs (Depressor Anguli Oris) muscles that pull down the corners of the mouth.  Treating these muscles makes the corners of the mouth turn up a bit.

-Masseter muscles in the cheek that create jaw clenching and a widened jaw appearance.  Treating these muscles can make a square face appear more round and can help alleviate jaw clenching and grinding.

-Cheeks: we use Botox here in a special way to help smooth the skin and soften pillow lines

-Neck: we use Botox here to help stop "turkey neck" from forming.  When we treat those neck bands, the neck appears smoother.

  • How Much Botox Will I Need?

How Much Botox Will I Need?

We measure Botox® in “units”. The amount needed depends greatly on how thick your muscles are, how deep your lines are, how many prior Botox treatments you’ve had, and what type of results you’re seeking. Typically, it takes around 15-20 units of Botox to treat the forehead, 20-25 units of Botox to treat the glabella (those "11s" between the brows", and 15-20 units of Botox to treat crows’ feet.

We will recommend the number of units you'll need to meet your goals, and we will always let you know how many units you'll get before we do your treatment.
