Dr. Kavali is a Georgia native who graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine. She then completed general surgery residency training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Following this, she went on to complete her plastic surgery fellowship training at Wayne State University in Michigan. 

She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the ONLY plastic surgery board recognized and accredited by the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

Dr. Kavali has lectured on a variety of plastic surgery topics, including breast reconstruction, breast augmentation and reduction, breast lift, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring. She has presented her work at many national and international plastic surgery conferences and has had her work published in national medical publications.

Dr. Kavali's expertise and approachable style make her an excellent media resource, and she has been featured in numerous magazines, journals, and radio shows.

She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Medical Association of Atlanta, and the Atlanta Women's Medical Alliance. 

Dr. Kavali is on staff at Northside Hospital, Children's Healthcare at Scottish Rite, DeKalb Medical Center, Emory Johns Creek Medical Center, and Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center. Most of her surgery is done at Northside Hospital's Meridian Mark Outpatient Surgery Center, where patients are treated by Registered Nurses and Board-Certified Anesthesiologists in a private ambulatory setting.
